The Royal Balaton Golf & Yacht Inc. is planning to build a 5 * Wellness-Hotel next to the golf course with apartments, and a yacht club nearby as well. These luxury golf residences will offer a panoramic view over the Lake Balaton as well as over the Golf Course.

Their yacht port, to be built in Balatonudvari-Fövenyes, will have a capacity for 133 boats. The moorings wil be equipped with running water, electricity, cable television and internet access. The Yacht Club featuring extensive services and 13 apartments will open its doors in 2011 for all lovers of sailing.

Royal Balaton is only two years old and has already hosted the European Young Masters for 2010, after playing it, you would understand why.  The course has character, views of Lake Balaton known as the ‘Hungarian Ocean’ due to its Caribbean clear waters and is the biggest inland lake in Europe.

The layout of the course is unique with parts of the golf played round a beautiful transformed quarry which inhabits deer and foxs, four holes cut through a forest and a mixture of Lakes on the course presents a course you will want to play again.

Balatonfüred, the yachting capital of the Lake, is a hub for water sports. Along the beaches, there are many paddling boats to be rented (2500HUF for an hour, c. €10) and sail boats. There really is no shortage to the amount of water-fun one can have on the Lake.
