Marriott Dalmahoy is a renowned world-class golf venue with two very different, but equally inspiring courses. The legendary course designer James Braid created the East and West Courses at Marriott Dalmahoy to offer contrasting challenges for golfers of all abilities.
Marriott Dalmahoy has been the home to many prestigious golf events over the years, featuring such illustrious players as Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Lee Trevino, and Colin Montgomerie. Visit Marriott Dalmahoy as part of a golf tour, golf break or a Sunday Golf Driver.
Marriott Dalmahoy's two 18 hole courses are situated on 1,000 acres of stunning Scottish countryside surrounded by woodlands, streams, lakes and the Pentland Hills. In 2005, the prestigious East Course completed a £1 million redevelopment and is now a true Championship venue once more.
With its breathtaking scenery, Baronial Manor, incredible sunsets and views of Edinburgh Castle, Dalmahoy, a Marriott Hotel & Country Club combines tradition with modern comfort. As the hotel is set within 1,000 acres of parkland, you would never know you're just 7 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland's lively capital.

The West Course
Designed by: James Braid
The shorter West Course at Marriott Dalmahoy poses some very different challenges: tighter fairways and smaller greens call for a more accurate game. And the final hole across the Gogar Burn offers a spectacular end to a memorable round.
After a refreshing round, Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club beckons you home with all the fine things in life: enjoy an unforgettable meal in the award winning Pentland Restaurant or indulge in a light lunch in the Long Weekend Cafe Bar.
Alternatively you can always head for the hotel’s superb leisure club complete with tennis courts, sauna, steam room and indoor pool. Wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club is located just 7 miles from all the entertainment and nightlife of Edinburgh city centre.

It gets very busy at lunch times and is packed full of students in the evenings. Join the friendly regulars, who have been coming here for many years to enjoy the relaxed vibe around the original oak gantry bar. Over 70 whiskeys and a solid range of cask ales are on offer, including the popular Abbotsford 70 shilling.

The Albanach
Situated on the corner of the High and Cockburn, the Albanach is perfectly positioned for both tourists and locals for a daytime break or a night out. Enter the shiny contemporary space, take a pew at one of the solid wooden tables and be welcomed by the charming staff. Choose from a bewildering list of beverages, which includes some quality home-brewed and foreign beers, a good wine list and some enticing non-alcoholic refreshments. The food is fine and filling - on cool days try the soup of the day served with chunky bread. Sit outside when the sun appears and watch the procession of characters.

Baroque
This is a hip hang-out on one of Edinburgh's trendiest streets. Inside, the decor is bright blue and orange with some surreal touches. Despite its ultra-cool aura, it is a friendly place with welcoming staff and a great atmosphere. The food available is Scottish-modern with a heavy dose of Mediterranean and Mexican influences. Join the throng later in the week and enjoy the open plan drinking on your way to the clubs up the road. In the summer, the large windows open out and the crowd spills out onto the pavement.
