Mount Juliet Golf Course opened in 1991 with a match featuring golfing legends Christy O'Connor Snr. and Jack Nicklaus.
The beautiful and challenging Mount Juliet golf course has established itself as a premier golfing venue for Top Professionals and leisure golfers worldwide. Chosen as the first and only Jack Nicklaus signature golf course in Ireland, the "Golden Bear" was meticulous and pain-staking in his design and overseeing of the construction of his great creation.
Feature holes on the course include the stunning 3rd hole, a par 3 from an elevated tee to a green guarded by a natural stream and lake ... one that golfers always remember. Also the par 5, 10th hole with its copse of trees which tests the golfers strategy. The final hole, a long par 4 with water all down the left and a narrow approach to the green has decided many a tournament result.
The par 72, 7300 yard layout boasts rolling fairways, many feature water hazards and contoured greens, all superbly blended into the spectacular setting of this famous old Irish Estate.
In preparation for the WGC - American Express Golf Championship that was held here in September 2002 and again in 2004, the Jack Nicklaus design team instigated some extensions and new features to the course, showing Mount Juliet's continued pursuit of golfing excellence.
Other events at Mount Juliet Golf Club include the Irish Opens of 1993-95 along with the Shell Wonderful World of Golf match between Tom Watson and Fred Couples in 1998.

Mount Juliet Hotel
There are 31 bedrooms at Mount Juliet House, including two presidential suites. Each hotel room is individually designed, in keeping with the concept of a private, family home. Each room is also named, drawing inspiration from the history of the estate. To compliment all of the services provided by the staff of the house, in the evening as you prepare for dinner, the beds are turned down, the lamps are lit and the drapes drawn.
The Rose Garden Lodges
The Rose Garden Lodges at Mount Juliet are spectacular in summer, surrounded by carefully tended herbaceous borders in the adjacent walled-garden. The Rose Garden Lodges are situated between Mount Juliet House and the Hunters Yard Clubhouse rooms. The newly renovated Rose Garden Lodges at Mount Juliet are upgraded to exquisite standards and boast stunning views of the 1,500 acre parkland estate and Jack Nicklaus golf course.
Each Rose Garden Lodge has two ensuite bedrooms, TV and telephone, a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. The Rose Garden Lodges offer the best of both worlds to guests. The Clubhouse Rooms
The 16 bright and airy Clubhouse rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences and are ideal for guests who wish to stay within easy access of The Spa or who prefer the relaxed and convivial atmosphere of the Clubhouse and President's Bar. The Clubhouse rooms are situated on the edge of the golf course and house the swimming pool, health club, Spa, golf shop, Presidents Bar and Kendals restaurant.
The Paddocks
The Paddocks, which offer similar facilities to those in the Rose Garden Suites, consist of two and three bedroom houses close to the tenth tee, just five minutes from the Hunters Yard. The Paddocks provide every luxury and convenience, a home from home feeling where guests can come and go as they please.
Included with the house is TV, direct dial telephone in living room and master bedroom, washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 4 ring cooker, oven, iron, gas fired central heating, fireplace, hair dryer, security alarm, VCR, high chair, cot and babysitting service on demand.
